Return of the long-lost blogger!

If there are any readers still around after my almost year-long absence from this blog… thank you!  A lot has happened… a whole lot!  I am a little overwhelmed by the prospect of catching you up, so I think I will take it very slowly, just a little bit at a time!  On the business side of things there have been several weddings and lots of family and kiddo sessions and personally there have been vacations, birthday parties, and holidays, but most importantly:

Sweet little Ethan arrived in our lives on January 18th, and I have been very busy falling in love with this guy.  It has been a huge blessing for me to take a step back from blogging while we got to know each other.  Less work has given me an opportunity to be a better, more present mom to all three of my boys.  I know my time at home with them is so short, a blink of an eye.  I am happy to say that life is getting back to a new normal these days, and I am ready to get back to the blog! School and preschool start this week, and routine is in sight, and I am so excited for this new chapter!  Cade starts kindergarten full-time Monday!  For today I will leave you with a few more pics of Ethan and some of his big brothers… he’s already seven months old and I can’t believe it!  He looks pretty unsure about life in the snapshots with Cade and Hayes, but he really likes them, I promise!  And they love him too, sometimes almost too much!  Thanks for still being around, check back soon for some more family pics and posts filled with client sessions from the past year.

It’s the season for… mini-sessions!

It’s that time of year again!  I just wanted to announce I am now offering Christmas card mini-sessions!  It’s the same deal as last year: $100 (plus tax) for a one-hour session and 10 fully edited images on cd ready for gifting, framing, or including in Christmas cards!  These can be used for family photos or just updated photos of your kids, or a combination of the two.  Let me know if you are interested at angelaackerphotography@gmail.com!  This offer ends November 3oth.  Here are just a few favorites from last year’s sessions!

It was such a treat to photograph this family when Will and I went to Memphis for a wedding recently.  These girls kept us laughing during their shoot, as well as their dad’s modeling skills! :)  I am breaking the session into two posts because I have so many favorites!  We miss you friends, thanks for letting me capture a part of this time in your life!

I have a love for little kid eyelashes… if you don’t want a few shots of your kid’s eyelashes you should probably look for another photographer!

They make me melt!

Baby Wesley 6 months

This is such a cute, fun family, and Wesley cracked me up all session long with his tongue!  He is just at that stage where he is sticking it out a lot, so I made sure to include a picture of that in this post!  I also stuck in a pet portrait, a little random, but I love it!

I don’t think we could have planned this next one… the dog just walked into the picture and sat down right there!  So funny!

This next one was for the grandparents; Wesley was pretty tired by this point, and I have yawned every time I look at it!

Why are yawns so contagious… apparently I don’t even have to be with the person yawning?!  At least he looks really cute when he is yawning!

Baby Virginia 8 months

This session with Virginia was so fun!  I love getting to take that extra creative step, and was so excited that her mom wanted to as well!  It was a little more work to get that chair out into the field but so worth it!  I love the different spots and the different outfits!

I don’t have a lot to say about Kimmy and D’s wedding day… fun pretty much sums it up!  Kimmy and D were so sweet and the bridal party was a blast to hang out with!  I am always honored when a couple chooses me to shoot their wedding, and you were no exception!  Thank you and I hope you love your pictures!!!  I had to break the day into two posts because there are so many images I love!

Bethany and Anna

I am way behind on my blog posts from this summer (baby #3 has slowed me down a little!), so I am going to be posting pictures from several sessions in the next few days!  This is a session I had the privilege of shooting our last week in Colorado.  We spent the month there with Bethany and Anna (sisters) and they were so fun to photograph!  They did a great job cracking each other up and getting natural smiles which made my job easy!   Thanks Bethany and Anna!  We miss you guys!
